Dr. Daniela Ozacky Stern is a distinguished historian focused on World War II, the Holocaust, Genocide, survival, and resistance.
Third generation to Holocaust survivors, her global research explores the human perspective. She has published works on various topics related to the Holocaust, Genocide and Jewish history.
She is also an international lecturer and presents her work in multiple countries.
Daniela Ozacky Stern
Dr. Daniela Ozacky Stern is a historian of the Holocaust and World War II, a lecturer, and a researcher. She was a lecturer in the Holocaust Studies Program at the Western Galilee College and at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. Ozacky Stern was a research fellow at the Holocaust Research Institute at Bar-Ilan University, a postdoctoral fellow at the International Institute for Holocaust Research at Yad Vashem, an EHRI (European Holocaust Research Infrastructure) research fellow at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and an Archive fellow at the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies at Yale University.
Her doctoral dissertation, written at the University of Haifa, focuses on Jewish partisans in the forests of Lithuania and Belarus during World War II and the Holocaust. She wrote her master’s thesis at Tel Aviv University on Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels.
She has published numerous articles and studies on Jewish partisans in the forests of Eastern Europe, the Vilna Ghetto, Polish-Jewish refugees, the Holocaust in Slovakia, ghettos in Belarus, the detention camps in Cyprus, the camps of the African exile, and the rehabilitation of children after the Holocaust.
